Poetry Boot Camp,   An on-line poetry intensive for six days in a row, once a month. Participants are English-speaking, but come from all over the world (US, Canada, UK, Cyprus, Guam, Italy, Portugal and the South Pole). MA in Poetic Practice . Teaching will take place in 11 Gower Street, London WC1 on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings - 5.30pm-7.30pm.
The course lasts one year full-time, two years part-time. There are two core courses: Poetic Practice and New Technologies of Writing. Poetic Practice works through writing on and off the page; narratives of self and body; degrees of liveness; and site-specific writing and performance. Work by Susan Hiller, Joan Retallack, Lynn Hejinian, cris cheek, Fiona Templeton etc etc. Contemporary Technologies of Writing looks at materialities of writing; interactive webpages; animations; sound and video; webprojects ... In addition, students will work on a writing project and produce a dissertation reflecting on their project.
