The Society of Civil and Public Service Writers -Open to all members of the Armed Forces and Civil Service, both serving and retired.

For 15.00 p.a. members receive a quarterly magazine containing advice and member's short stories, poems and articles. These are a mixture of winners of the Society's competitions and those who are being encouraged by being published.

Yr Academi Gymreig / The Welsh Academi - The Welsh Academi in partnership with Ty Newydd, the Cricieth writers' centre, has won the Arts Council’s franchise to promote literary events, tours and residencies throughout Wales. The franchise is for three years and will give the reorganised Academi responsibility for managing existing Arts Council schemes - Writers on Tour; school, library and community residencies; and literature development projects.
