Transparent Words - Poetry

Between where and how
by Calaya J. Williams

Have you heard,
in the clamor of global terror,
children talking
about good parents gone
to heavens,
about evil parents
on their way to hells,
where Those people,
with peculiarly shaped faith

in some thing unfit,
teach their children hate?

Have you heard,
in the fear of global holy war,
children say, Pray
the right way
to civilized gods,

for one small, xenophobic,
ignorant tribe?

Have you heard,
in the wailing
between where and how
terror happens,
who chases who
across broad implications,

while ghosts dance
on wounded knees?
