  • Wishes

Each one of three takes a corner stance
     there is only space there
     and in there
     space

     they stare
yet fail to see the camera

     a man takes the bar
he waves to one of the three
     who smiles
     pleased to be recognised

     there the contact ends
     like drinking friends
     passing no words
     a silent calligraphy

     their glasses clink
like eternal wishes in a lonely town
