Painting the Bathroom Ceiling
White, ceiling
white, tape the mirror,
the light, the
black and white antique
wall tile,
paper the tiled floor, and avoid
dripping on the
cat, we like her striped
not spotted,
but my arms hurt as I stretch
to paint the
ceiling with this too-small
roller... an
edger not a ceiling roller.
However, it's
just our small bathroom, not
the Sistine
ceiling and I'm not Michelangelo.
I'll paint
clouds white, plain white clouds,
not God and man
as they reach out, just me
stretching to
paint with a too-small roller.
