The painfully sensitive
and
frighteningly aware
 

wrap themselves in blankets
of
damp mist and heavy fog
 

while walking soggy
streets
in broken cities.


They cross each other's path
and
exchange a hidden glance

but silently
pass
one another by

forever remaining
strangers
in the night.
