Poem completed on 31st March 2020
When each day is another The diary is unopened, unneeded, the butterflies on its glitter slipcase pinned. As each day is another, I fast forward to an unknown when, or slamming the crate into reverse, I rehearse a little past, - waking to a quietened Leytonstone
High Rd, where traffic is stalled, and watching a shower of trolley bus sparks that has stayed alight, and more of them, as if extending the territory of hush to fluffy
snowflakes to people on the street and the airborne. Today is for the blackbirds to test its bounds.
