Poem composed 2nd June 2020:

Locked Down

Reading’s a place I used to go,

With streets and shops and meeting places,

The Hexagon to see a show,

Coffee bars and familiar faces.

A regular Thursday morning jaunt,

The weather wet, or turned out finer.

But now this virus has come to haunt,

Reading’s as far away as China.
