Kong University (visiting lecturer). Date poem was written: 4th June 2020 Wilding Unplugged from the office he works from home. Grass, beard, hair uncut, grow long. He drifts from his laptop, mutes his phone, lingers in his sleepwear through lazy afternoons. Bare-chested he roams the sunny garden, roaring, stalks his fleeing mite, pouncing, trumpets flatulent raspberries on milky skin. The morsel writhes, laughter on the brink of tears. The mother looks up from her spreadsheet, sees her mate on all fours mauling their cub – suggests a board game.
